About the hotel
Star Gate Hotel Kansai Airport occupies the upper floors of the Rinku Gate Tower Building in Rinku Town, Izumisano, beside the bridge to Kansai International Airport. Designed by Nikken Sekkei and Yasui Architects, the tower was planned as one of a twin 'gate' pair, but the second was dropped after Japan's bubble economy collapsed; it also houses offices, a conference hall and, since 2023, a second hotel. Opened as the ANA Gate Tower Hotel, the 358-room hotel took its current name in 2011 and has restaurants on its top floors.
