Aman Tokyo occupies the top floors of Otemachi Tower, an office tower in Tokyo's Otemachi financial district developed by Tokyo Tatemono and Taisei, with an exterior by Kohn Pedersen Fox; Mizuho's head offices are below, and a planted woodland, Otemachi Forest, covers part of the site. Opened in December 2014, the hotel draws on Japanese tradition, with washi paper doors and ikebana in a vast lobby, ryokan-style rooms and an Aman Spa with a pool.
