About the hotel
EQ Kuala Lumpur was unveiled in March 2019 in Equatorial Plaza, a Green Building Index-certified tower on Jalan Sultan Ismail in the Golden Triangle, a short walk from the Petronas Twin Towers. It replaced the Hotel Equatorial, which opened on the site in 1973 and was demolished in 2012 to make way for the new building, which also contains offices. The 440-room hotel has a 25-metre infinity pool and, at the top, the Sky51 rooftop bar, the Blue lounge and the European restaurant Sabayon.
