About the hotel
Ocean Casino Resort opened in April 2012 as Revel, a $2.4 billion resort designed by Arquitectonica at the northern end of the Atlantic City Boardwalk. Revel closed in September 2014 after two bankruptcies; the property reopened in June 2018 as Ocean Resort Casino and took its current name in 2019. Ilitch Gaming, part of the Detroit-based Ilitch family's companies, bought half in 2021 and took full ownership in August 2026. The resort has about 1,860 rooms and suites, a casino and the 5,500-capacity Ovation Hall.
