Designed by I. M. Pei with Frank Williams, the hotel on East 57th Street, between Madison and Park Avenues in Midtown Manhattan, opened in June 1993; its Art Deco-inspired lobby uses the same limestone as Pei's Louvre expansion. Owned by Ty Warner's company and operated by Four Seasons, it closed in 2020 and stayed shut for more than four years amid a reported dispute between the two, reopening in November 2024. It now has 219 rooms and suites, most of them suites, plus The Garden restaurant and TY Bar.
