About the hotel

Built by Takenaka Corporation for the Daiei group, the tower opened in September 1988 as the Shin-Kobe Oriental Hotel, centrepiece of the Shin-Kobe Oriental City complex, whose lower levels hold a shopping centre (now KOTO no HAKO KOBE) and a theatre. It became Crowne Plaza Kobe in 2006 and ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe in 2010. The hotel opened with about 600 rooms, its restaurants include a branch of Nadaman, and it connects directly to Shin-Kobe's shinkansen and subway stations and the Nunobiki Ropeway.
