About the hotel

Morris Lapidus's Fontainebleau opened in 1954 on Collins Avenue as hotelier Ben Novack's showpiece and became a Miami Modern landmark, seen in films such as Goldfinger and Scarface. The Trésor Tower is one of the towers added in an expansion begun in 2002; Turnberry Associates bought the hotel in 2005, ending about 30 years of Hilton management, and the enlarged resort reopened in November 2008. It is controlled by the Soffer family's Fontainebleau Resorts and includes LIV nightclub and restaurants such as Hakkasan and Prime 54.
